MARIA DEL REFUGIO “CUQUITA” ANZALDUA VALDEZ DE CALERA ALAMO – Maria Del Refugio “Cuquita” Anzaldua Valdez de Calera, 87, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Plano, Texas. Born in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mrs. Calera had lived in Alamo most of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Genaro Calera Licon; a son, Genaro; her parents, Leonardo Anzaldua and Cecilia Valdez; five brothers, Aurelio, Ramiro, Rogelio, Leonardo, Jose Humberto; and a sister, Paulita. Mrs. Calera is survived by four sons, Rodolfo (Alma) Calera Anzaldua, Miguel Angel Calera Anzaldua, both of Reynosa Tamaulipas, Mexico, Carlos Rene (Mary) Calera Anzaldua of Edinburg, Raul (Cynthia) Calera Anzaldua of Alamo; and a daughter, Margarita (Greg) Louallen of Plano, TX; 17 grandchildren, Genaro, Gabriel, Gerardo, Nora, Rodolfo, Gisela, Miguel, Mario, Oscar, Caleb, Josue, Israel, Jessica, Alejandra, Sebastian, Hanna and Sarita; and 22 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Friday, November 28, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
