RUBEN FRANCO CAMPOS
PHARR – Ruben Franco Campos, 83, died Tuesday August 2, 2016, at Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility surrounded by his loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Natalia Campos; a son, Ruben Campos, Jr.; two siblings, Alfredo Campos and Estella Saenz.
Mr. Campos is survived by his wife, Amelia Campos; six children, Alicia (Mike) Pruneda, Raul (Eva) Campos, Rene (Laura) Campos, all of Pharr, Hermelinda Perez, Irma (Rob) Pena, Nellie (Travis) Jones, all of McAllen; 12 grandchildren, Michael (Maritza) Pruneda, Aaron Gabriel Perez, Jenna Monique Perez, Tessa Noelle Perez, Omar Daniel Perez, Ryan Robert Pena, Tyler Bradley Pena, Ruben Gustavo Campos, Raul Campos, Jr., Claritza Janeida Campos, Kathlyn E. Jones, Sydney Jo Jones; four great-grandchildren, Ava Elizabeth Pruneda, Derek Anthony Gomez, Julian Ayden Chapa, Zoey Rey Chapa; a brother, Leonel Campos; and his beloved dog, “Zimba”.
The Campos family would like to thank Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility for the care that was provided to them. In Lieu of flowers please make contributions to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America in Ruben Campos’s memory.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. celebration of life today, August 4, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
