ESTEFANA CANALES
SAN JUAN/AUSTIN, TX - Estefana Canales, 83, died Monday, October 24, 2011, at her residence in Austin, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hilario and Dolores Canales; a brother, Rito Canales; two sisters, Aurelia Guerra and Landelina Pena.
Ms. Canales is survived by five children, Dr. Maria Rosario Carrasco Cid (Ruben) Aleman, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Nicolas (Irma) Carrasco, of Austin, Texas, Dalia Olivarez, Gregorio (Teresa) Carrasco Jr., both of Edinburg, Isidro (Cleo) Carrasco, of Tulare, California; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Nieves Canales, of San Juan.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, October 26, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
