PAULINE CANALES
EDINBURG – Pauline Canales, 64, died Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Edinburg, Mrs. Canales had lived there all of her life. Pauline worked as a provider and cared for her mother, mother in law and sister in law. She loved her family especially her three boys. She was one of a kind. She loved spending time with her sisters at family gatherings and holidays. She loved palm trees, owls, books and her novelas. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Elvira Garcia; and a sister, Olga Enriquez. Mrs. Canales is survived by her husband, Rogelio “Boonie” Canales; three children, Rogelio “Boonie” Canales, Jr., Randy Canales, Marcus Canales; all of Edinburg; four brothers, Pedro F. (Velma) Garcia of McAllen, Juan A. (Carmen) Garcia, Roberto H. Garcia, Carlos H. (Blanca) Garcia, all of Edinburg; two sisters, Elvira Ochoa of Edinburg, Rosario G. (Rolando) Garcia of Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, March 28, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
