Basilio "Bz" Cano

BASILIO “BZ” CANO SAN JUAN – After a long illness, Basilio “BZ” Cano, 85, went to be with the LORD surrounded by his family, on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at his residence in San Juan. Born in Mission, Mr. Cano lived in San Juan most of his life. “BZ” was self-employed and owned BZ Trucking Company for over 50 years. Basilio was married to Olga Cano for 68 years. He is preceded in death by his sons, Jaimito, Juan, and Jaime Cano; his parents, Juan and Guadalupe Cano; his brothers, Javier, Rogelio, Ramon and Oscar Cano. Mr. Cano is survived by his wife, Olga Cano; three daughters, Irma Cano, Olga (Gary) Grammer, and Lucilla (Steve) Parrott; his son, Homero (Ernestina) Cano; two brothers, Juan Cano III and Ramiro Cano; three sisters, Gloria (Roy) Rutledge, Rebecca Brooks, and Pura Luz Perez; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A rosary was held Friday, June 22, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today, June 23, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
