MARIA G. CANO SAN JUAN – Maria G. Cano, 84, died Friday, October 11, 2013, at her residence in San Juan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ciro Cano; a son, Ciro Cano, Jr.; and a granddaughter, Belinda Cano. Mrs. Cano was born in Mexico and had lived in San Juan all of her life. She is survived by four children, Delia (Guadalupe) Soza of Pharr, Arnoldo (Maria Luisa) Cano of San Juan, Lucila (Adalberto) Lerma and Diana (Ramon) Cuevas both of Pharr; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, October 14, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
