BELIA YAÑEZ GARZA SAN JUAN - Belia Yañez Garza, 81, died Monday, July 22, 2013, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Born in Matamoros, Mrs. Garza had lived in San Juan for ten years and was formerly of Pharr. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Andres Garza. Mrs. Garza is survived by eight children, Niceforo De La Garza, Odlia Garza Ruiz, Martha I. Garza, Maria D. Belcher, Alma B. Yzaguirre, Bernardo Garza, Mariela Y. Prado and Jesus Garza; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Soveida Zuniga and Oralia Loya. A rosary was held Tuesday, July 23, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today, July 24, 2013, at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
