ISAURA R. CANTU SAN JUAN – Isaura R. Cantu, 65, died Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Born in General Bravo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Ms. Cantu had lived in San Juan most of her life. She was employed as an English teacher at P-SJ-A ISD and was a cheerleader sponsor at Austin Middle School. She then opened her business, “Just for Kicks” Cheerleader Supplies. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adan and Fidela Cantu; and a brother, Adan Cantu, Jr. Ms. Cantu is survived by her siblings, Thelma (Gonzalo) Gonzalez, of West Covina, California, Jesus (Elisa) Cantu, Romeo (Lucia) Cantu, both of Pharr, Alonso Cantu, of Humble, Texas; sister-in-law, Elda Cantu, of Humble, Texas and 16 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 4, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
