NABOR CANTU, JR.
EDINBURG – Nabor Cantu, Jr., 60, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Weslaco, Mr. Cantu had lived in Edinburg most of his life.
He is preceded in death by a son, Juan Quintanilla; his parents, Nabor Cantu and Teodora Cantu; two sisters, Andrea Morato and Candelaria Cantu; and a brother, Mayo Cantu.
Mr. Cantu is survived by his wife, Severa Garcia Quintanilla of Edinburg; nine children, Lolis (Daniel) Ramirez of Houston, Cynthia (Allison) Cantu of Dryden, NY, Denise (Alvino) Alegria of Weslaco, Nabor (Erika) Cantu, III, Jose (Sandra) Quintanilla, Jerry (Alex) Quintanilla, Jessica (Albert) Maldonado, Joan Cantu, Laura (Randy) Coronado, all of Edinburg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jose Nabor Cantu, Ernesto (Chris) Cantu, Senovio Cantu; and two sisters, Rosaelia (Joe) Contreras and Enedelia Cantu, all of Weslaco.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, November 11, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
