JUAN CANTU JR. DONNA - Juan Cantu, Jr., 64, died Monday, July 22, 2013, at Comfort House in McAllen. Mr. Cantu was born in Weslaco and had lived in Donna for 20 years. He is preceded in death by his mother, Isabel Garcia. Mr. Cantu is survived by his wife, Elvira Cantu of Donna; a daughter, Veronica Lee (Efrain) Reyna of Pharr; a son, John Cantu of Donna; six grandchildren, Samara Bella Reyna, Jonathan Arthur Reyna, Emilee Clare Reyna, Kaleigh Madison Cantu, Kassidy Naveah Cantu, and Calissa Celest Reyna. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary today, July 24, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
