SAN JUAN - Maritza Cantu, 28, died Friday, August 12, 2011, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Colorado.
Born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Maritza had lived in San Juan all of her life and was a 2001 graduate of P-SJ-A Memorial High School in Alamo.
She is survived by two children, Juan De Dios Lozano, Itzel Lozano; her parents, Leonel and Rosa E. Cantu, all of San Juan; a brother, Eddie Cantu, of Horizon City, Texas; and a sister, Yuri Cantu, of San Juan.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am Thursday, August 18, 2011, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
