PRIMITIVO CARDONA BOCANEGRA
SAN JUAN – Primitivo Cardona Bocanegra, 92, went to heaven Friday, October 7, 2016, at his residence in San Juan.
Born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Primitivo lived in Pharr most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria De Jesus Bocanegra; two sons, Benito Bocanegra and Alvaro Bocanegra; a grandson, Ricardo Bocanegra; his parents, Otilio and Merenciana Bocanegra.
Mr. Bocanegra, is survived by his two daughters, Maria (Gonzalo) Ramirez and Nora (+Mario) Ruiz; daughter-in-law, Alma G. Bocanegra; 11 grandchildren, Maritza (Eli) Martinez, John (Rosie) Ramirez, Gonzalo P. Ramirez, Anthony R. Ramirez, Michael A. Ramirez, Esteban (Cindy) Ruiz, Patricia (+JJ) Vela, Andres M. Ruiz, Sarah Y. Ruiz, Julissa (Mauricio) Perez, Krystle (Victor) Rios; 34 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, October 10, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
