Ramon "Ray" Carreon Jr.

PHARR – Ramon “Ray” Carreon Jr., 38, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Mr. Carreon was born in McAllen and lived in Pharr all of his life; he enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as watching his favorite team The Dallas Cowboys. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Julia N. and Hipolito Garza; one uncle, Marty Cantu and his dog Reagan. He is survived by his mother, Agapita Carreon of Pharr; father Ramon Carreon of Weslaco, one brother Robert Ray Carreon; one sister, Julie Ann (Pedro Pablo) Martinez both of Pharr; Paternal Grandmother, Teresa T. Pedraza of Weslaco; five uncles, Tio Ray, Tio Polo, Tio Robert, Tio Mando, Tio Joe; six aunts, Tia Linda, Tia Melie, Tia Celia, Tia Juana, Tia Lola and Tia Sylvia; numerous cousins, friends, and “Brothers”. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 pm rosary today, May 29, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 am, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
