EDCOUCH - Paula Carriaga, 69, died Friday, June 24, 2016, at her home surrounded by her children.
She was a loving wife, awesome mother and even better grandma. She loved life and lived it to its fullest. Her message: Don't Fight, Be Happy, Always Laugh, and Live!
She is preceded in death by her parents, Noe and San Juanita Trevino.
Paula is survived by her husband, Benito Carriaga and two sons, Benito (Oralia) Carriaga, Guillermo (Nayeli) Carriaga; three daughters, Paula (Damian) Saenz, Ester (Allison) Carriaga, and Graciela (Noel) Benavides; 8 grandchildren, Kate, Thomas, Denise, Leslie, Salomon, Sophia, Edward, and Olivia; four siblings, Rita Olguine, Francisca Alonzo, Noe Trevino, and Adela De La Garza.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, June 27, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
