ALVIN/SAN JUAN — Lupita Trevino Casares, 66, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Houston. Born in Weslaco, Ms. Casares had lived in Alvin for 42 years and was formerly of San Juan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Maria Trevino; and a brother, Homero Trevino. Ms. Casares is survived by a daughter, Cynthia (Emilio) Saenz, of Alvin; two sons, David (Juliessa) Casares, of Alvin, John (Julia Franco) Casares, of San Antonio; four grandchildren, Paige, Madison, Emily and Joshua; and a brother, Eloy (Rosa) Trevino, of Pharr. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, July 26, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan
