HECTOR “TITO” CASAS
EDINBURG – Hector “Tito” Casas, 53, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, at his residence in Edinburg.
Hector graduated June 1, 1987, from Edinburg High School where he was very active in track and cross country. After graduation he joined the USMC where he was part of the graduation group in August 21, 1987 Platoon 1060. He served our country as a proud Marine and was Honorable Discharged on November 22, 1994, as a Sergeant (E - 5) he proceeded to educate himself by graduating with a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Hector had a few hobbies, which he loved collecting his comic books, baseball cards, coins and mailing stamps. Amongst all other things he had no greater love and passion than spending time with his daughter Isabella.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Leonor Gutierrez; grandparents, Felix Uvaldo Casas and Leonor Trejo Casas.
Mr. Casas is survived by his daughter, Isabella Casas; three siblings, Omar (Virginia) Casas, Yvette Martinez, Andres (Shannon) Casas Jr.; father, Andres Casas Sr.; aunt, Carmen Casas; uncle, Felix Casas, Fidel Oscar Casas; and numerous nieces, nephew, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a 12 p.m. Chapel service Friday, August 12, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Interment of cremated remains will follow to Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
