ISRAEL CASAS
ALAMO -Israel Casas, 85, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at San Juan Nursing Home.
Mr. Casas was born in General Teran, N.L., Mexico and had lived in Alamo most of his life. He was a very beloved husband and father; he will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Erica C. Casas, and a brother, Guadalupe Casas.
Mr. Casas is survived by his wife, Maria P. Casas, of Alamo; three sons, Baldemar (Josie) Casas, of Austin, Baldomero (Gracie) Casas, of Alamo, Israel Casas, Jr., of Alamo; four daughters, Noelia (Pedro) Huerta, Armandina Casas, Enedelia (Santos) Perez, Eleticia C. (Rogelio) Nava, all of Alamo; 20 grandchildren; 27 great -grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ramona ¬¬¬¬Casas, of Reynosa, Tamps., Mexico, Petra Limon, of Weslaco; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, today, April 28, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today, April 29, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens on Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
