MELQUIADES ELIZONDO CASAS
PHARR - Melquiades Elizondo Casas, 71, died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Mr. Casas was born in Hacienda San Pedro, General Teran , N.L. Meixco and he lived in Pharr all of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Manuel and Trinidad Casas, a son; Manuel Casas, three brothers; Armando, Manuel, Jr. and Pablo Casas.
Mr. Casas is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Clara B. Casas of Pharr; children Marilyn (Carlos) De Luna of Edinburg, Sandra (Bobby) Garcia of Sharyland, Rosie (Carlos) Perez of Edinburg, Mel Casas, Jr. and Joel (Pati) Casas of Pharr; twelve grandchildren Jonathan, Christopher, Brandon, Evan, Bobby Jr., Joshua, Victoria, Zachary, Vanessa, J.P., Isaiah and Jade; five sisters, Clementina (Juan) Lopez of Bellville, Josie (Bonifacio) Carranza of Houston, Beva (Lee) Vela of San Antonio, Mary Casas of Alamo, Olga (Francisco) Romero of Edinburg; three brothers Angel (Jeanette) Casas of San Antonio, Rolando Casas of Alamo and Eluid (Mandy) Casas of McAllen.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 pm rosary today, March 5th, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be announced.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
