ALEJANDRO SERRATO CASTILLO, SR. EDINBURG - Alejandro Serrato Castillo, Sr. 83, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at his residence in Edinburg. Mr. Alejandro was born in Mexico but lived most of his life in California. He is preceded in death by three sisters, Maria Castillo De La Rosa, Vicenta Castillo Arreazola, and Tomasa Castillo. Alejandro is survived by his wife, Maria Del Socorro Pedraza Castillo; a daughter, Josefina (+Ramiro) Castillo Tijerina of Edinburg; six sons, Raul (Rosie) Castillo of Denver Colorado, Alberto Castillo of California, Adolfo (Kathy) Castillo of Oregon, Alejandro (Leti) Castillo, Jr. of Edinburg, Rolando Castillo of Phoenix Arizona, Ramon (Laly) Castillo of Edinburg; 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, Pedro Castillo of California, Jose Castillo of San Juan; two sisters, Trinidad Vargas of Houston, and Severa Castillo of Mexico. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, January 29, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday January 30, 2014, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
