Alpha Amelia Castillo, 83, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at her residence in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her three grandchildren; parents, Joel Guerra and Maria De Los Angeles Iglesias; four brothers; and a sister.
Mrs. Castillo is survived by her husband, Aaron Castillo; six children, Jorge Aaron (Esmeralda) Castillo, Araceli (Teodoro) Trevino, Maria Castillo, Rafael (Sofia Elizabeth) Castillo, Isael (Sobeida) Castillo, Elizabeth (+Eloy) Chiu; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Ismael Guerra, Joel Guerra, Evangelina Guerra, and Daniel Guerra.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2022 and Monday, July 4, 2022, with a 6 p.m. prayer service Monday, July 4, 2022 , at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
