EDINBURG – Juana Castillo, 77, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Raymondville, Mrs. Castillo had lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Perfecta Barrera; and a sister, Rafaela Ruiz.
Mrs. Castillo is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Castillo of Edinburg; four children, Maria Ramos and Aurelia Castillo both of Edinburg, Estela (Santiago) Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas, and Ruben Castillo of Corpus Christi, Texas; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Ramona Vasquez of Los Angeles, California; two brothers, Francisco Barrera of San Juan and Priciliano Barrera of Milford, Indiana
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary today, April 30, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. today, May 1, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
