MCALLEN - Hortencia Castillo Medeiros, 83, went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 7, 2021, at her residence in Mission.
She is survived by her nine children, Judy Martinez, Guadalupe "Lita" Harris, Anthony "Tony" (Estella) Medeiros, Rose Medeiros, Mary Lee (Todd) Tumlinson, Rev. John (Cleo) Medeiros, Alexandra (Roberto Zapata) Medeiros, Peter Medeiros, and Gary (Carmen) Medeiros; 32 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five siblings.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service today, January 10, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2021, at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
