ALBERTO CAZARES JR. ALAMO – Alberto Cazares, Jr., 75, died Friday, October 11, 2013, at his residence in Alamo. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alberto and Estela Cazares. Mr. Cazares was born in Alice, Texas and had lived in Alamo most of his life. Nuestro querido padre, te extrañaremos muchisimo. Nos dejaste muy pronto en esta vida, pero nos damos cuenta que estas en un mejor lugar. Extrañaremos tu sonrisa y tu sentido del humor pero mas que eso, extrañaremos ese gran y amable corazón, siempre consiente de ayudar a otros. Te llevaremos en nuestros corazones por siempre y guardaremos como un tesoro las memorias de los momentos que pasamos juntos. He is survived by his wife, Maria C. Cazares of Alamo; six children, Alberto (Irma) Cazares, III, of San Juan, Javier (Mariana) Cazares, Miguel Angel Cazares, both of Rio Bravo, Tamps., Mexico, Ricardo (Lisa) Cazares, of Alamo, Maribel (Mel Ramirez) Cazares, of McAllen and Edgar (Veronica) Cazares, of Yuma, Arizona; 14 grandchildren; six siblings, Rodolfo (Margarita) Cazares, Homero (Irma) Cazares, both of Brownsville, Irma (Luis) Chiu, of Chicago, Illinois, Gloria (Jose) Galvan, of Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, Rene Cazares, of Dallas, Texas and Arnoldo (Diamantina) Cazares, of Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, October 13, 2013, and from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. with a prayer service at 11 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral mass will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2013, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Cremation will follow. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
