MARIA FELICITAS "FELA" CAZARES EDINBURG - Maria Felicitas "Fela" Cazares, 82, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at her residence in Edinburg. Born in Mexico, Fela had lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by a brother, Cipriano Martinez. Mrs. Cazares is survived by her husband, Heriberto Cazares, of Edinburg; five sons, Juan (Sonia) Cazares, of Edinburg, Heriberto (Mary) Cazares Jr., of Los Fresnos, Hualberto (Martha) Cazares, of Rio Grande City, Sergio (Kathy) Cazares, and Homero (Mary) Cazares, both of Edinburg; 12 grandchildren, Melisa (Jeff) Bankard, Belinda (Thomas) McNight, Priscilla (Andy) Molina, Joel (Cynthia) Cazares, Jesse (Clarissa) Cazares, Christina Cazares, Luis (Melissa) Cazares, Frances Cazares, Natalie Cazares, Sarah Cazares, Heather Cazares and Nicholas Cazares; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Petra Martinez; and a brother, Crecensio Martinez, both of Reynosa, Mexico. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
