JOSE HOMERO CEDILLO, SR.
EDINBURG – Jose Homero Cedillo, Sr., 72, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Born in Mission, Mr. Cedillo had lived in Edinburg most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcelo and Juanita Cedillo, Sr.; two sisters, Socorro Venegas and Adalia C. “Lala” Morin; and a brother, Arnulfo Cedillo, Sr.
Mr. Cedillo is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Cedillo of Edinburg; a son, Homer Cedillo, Jr. of Edinburg; a daughter, Cynthia Ann (Michael) Chapa of Austin; four grandchildren, Alyssa Nicole Cedillo, Matthew Alexander Cedillo, Michael Raymond Chapa, III, Christopher Chapa; two brothers, Marcelo (Emma) Cedillo, Jr. of Palmview, Onesimo Cedillo of Pleasanton, TX; and a sister, Susana Cedillo of Salado, TX.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
