Magdalena Elias Cerda

ALAMO – Magdalena Elias Cerda, 97, went home to our Lord Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen
Born in San Lorenzo, San Luis Potosi, MX, Mrs. Cerda had lived in Alamo all of her life.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Benito Cerda; and a son, Jose Cerda.
Mrs. Cerda is survived by seven children, Antonio Cerda of Port Isabel, Mr. and Mrs. Eliseo Cerda of Edinburg, Mr. and Mrs. Abel Cerda of Houston, Maria Salazar, Juanita Salazar, Margarita Velasquez, all of Alamo, and Alicia Garcia of Donna; a daughter in law, Yolanda Cerda of San Juan; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Friday, December 27, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
