MARIA LUISA CERDA EDINBURG – Maria Luisa Cerda, 63, died Friday, May 29, 2015, at Comfort House in McAllen. Born in Edinburg, Ms. Cerda had lived there all of her life and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Ms. Cerda is proceeded in death by her father, former Pct. 4 Constable Rumaldo Cerda Jr. and is survived by her mother, Odilia D. Cerda of Edinburg; three brothers, Robert (Lana) Cerda of Sugarland, Frank (Dona) Cerda of Linn-San Manuel, Arnold Cerda of Edinburg; two sisters, Cris (Rey) Castellano of Edinburg, Jeri (Juan) Dominguez of McAllen; nephews and nieces, Robert (Odessa), Miranda, Jacob, Brian Castellano; John (Yvonne), , Lillie (Patrick) Vargas, Mark Dominguez; Frankie, Bobby, Casey Cerda; and April (Rene) Rodriguez. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2015, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
