LYDIA N. CHAPA EDINBURG — Lydia N. Chapa, 66, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2012, surrounded by family and friends at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born on July 11, 1946 in Salineño, Texas, Ms. Chapa lived in Edinburg most of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Flavio and Zoila Chapa; and a brother, Jorge Chapa. Ms. Chapa is survived by two sisters, Gloria (Miguel) Guerra of San Antonio, Texas, and Anabel Peña of Edinburg; two brothers, Jaime (Martha) Ramos of Del Rio, Texas, and Flavio (Rosa) Chapa of Edinburg; numerous nieces and nephews. A rosary was held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today, July 17, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Cremation will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
