Charles George "Charlie" Minor, 83, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, at Aurora House in Weslaco.

Charles George "Charlie" Minor was born October 7, 1940 in Bartlesville, OK, which was also his dad's birthday and his parents' anniversary.

Being the son of a MK&T railroad man, he attended various schools in Oklahoma and Kansas.

Mr. Minor enlisted in the Navy in 1957. He was then employed at APDesonoa in Pittsburg, PA, and later at KG&E in Kansas. He later worked at Wolfcreek Nuclear Plant as an electrical supervisor in Burlington, Kansas. Charles then retired in 1998, where he relocated to Winter Ranch in Alamo, Texas.

Mr. Minor is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mae Minor; parents-in-law, Alfred "Red" and Midge Biddle; brother, Richard Minor; and two sisters, Dee Harris and Wanda Epperson.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nora Lee Minor, of the home; a son, Barry Lee Minor; three granddaughters, Alicia of Ottawa, Kansas, Sarah of Raytown, MO, and Danille of Corpus Christi, TX; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Becky Denson of Broken Arrow, OK, and Linda Fletcher of Muskogee, OK; and a brother-in-law, Dwight Epperson of Wagoner, OK.

Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
