SANDRA CHAVEZ
EDINBURG — Sandra Chavez, 61, born in McAllen, TX on November 28, 1949 died March 12, 2011 in Houston, TX.
In her early years, she grasped the knowledge of the true God, Jehovah, and embraced it with deep conviction. She was a patriot in the work of the Lord joined by her husband of 37 years. Many were, and many will continue to be inspired by her loving and zealous example as an active member of Jehovah's Christian Witnesses for 40 years. Her bible based faith taught her ethics, and morality, but most important was teaching the promises for the future of a better world here on earth. Her husband, Gilberto Chavez contributed strongly to their fruitful, and successful lives in the ministry of Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her mother Viola G. Benitez.
Surviving relatives are her father, Miguel Benitez Jr, her sisters Perla Bayardo, Sylvia (Xavier) Munoz, Lisa (Patrick) Ware, Cyndi (Brad) Otto. Also, surviving are her nephew and niece, Gil Gonzalez and Michelle Wilson.
Sandra will be remembered in our hearts until the new world comes and we can be together in the Kingdom to come of Gods making.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a talk at 7 p.m. Sat. March 19, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton Road, Edinburg.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Interment will follow Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
