CIPRIANA MARES
EDINBURG – Cipriana Mares, 88, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Andres and Lourdes Rodriguez; four siblings, Santos Rodriguez, Jorge Luis Rodriguez, Hermelinda Cantu, and Severiana Balderas.
Mrs. Mares is survived by her husband, Francisco Mares; four children, Rudolph (Teresa) Hernandez Jr., Efren Hernandez, Esmeralda (Roy) Garcia, Ruby Garcia; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three siblings, Victoria Gonzalez, Leonila Gaytan, and Alfonso Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
