EDINBURG – Angelita Colon, 87, died Friday, September 2, 2016, at her residence in Edinburg.
Born in Edinburg, Mrs. Colon had lived there all of her life.
She is preceded in death by a son, Cristobal Colon; and a daughter, Maria Del Carmen Vasquez.
Mrs. Colon is survived by her husband, Juan F. Colon of Edinburg; five sons, Gustavo (Guadalupe) Vasquez, Juan (Pam) Colon, both of Bakersfield, CA, Maximo (Linda) Colon, Carlos (Linda) Colon, Ismael Colon, all of Edinburg; four daughters, Carolina (Ruben) Salinas of Bishop, TX, Edubina Diaz, Marcolina (Heloy) Ruiz, both of Edinburg, Brunilda Colon of Levelland, TX; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. memorial service Monday, September 5, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation took place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
