Mary Jo Earnest "Jody" Colyer

MARY JO “JODY” EARNEST COLYER ALAMO – Mary Jo “Jody” Earnest Colyer, 68, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013, at her residence in Alamo. Born August 26, 1945 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, she had lived in the Rio Grande Valley most of her life and was a 1963 graduate of PSJA High School. Jody is preceded in death by a grandson, Clifford A. Colyer IV; her parents, Robert Dale and Virginia Earnest; and two brothers, James Dale and David John Earnest. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Clifford A. Colyer, Jr. of Alamo; two children, Clifford A. Colyer III of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Veronica Eugenia Colyer of Alamo; four grandchildren, Christopher Jon, Maegan Rae, Joshua James, and Caesey Arthur Colyer. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
