ALAMO - Eva P. Contreras, 88, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Las Palmas Healthcare Center in McAllen.
Born in Mercedes, Mrs. Contreras had lived in Alamo most of her life and was a member of San Pablo Methodist Church in Alamo.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonel Contreras Sr., two sons, Rene and Romeo Contreras; and a daughter, Maria Nelda Gonzalez.
Mrs. Contreras is survived by three sons, Leonel (Amanda) Contreras Jr., of San Juan, Rudybel Contreras and Arnoldo Contreras, both of Alamo; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
