SAN JUAN – Maria Alicia Contreras Farias, 82, died Monday, August 29, 2016, at Solara Hospital in McAllen.
She was born in Alamo, Texas and lived in San Juan most of her life.
Maria is survived by her husband, Enrique Farias; two daughters, Mariza (Joel) Garcia, Elsa (Marco) Ayala, all of San Juan; five grandchildren, Joel Enrique Garcia, Marco Antonio Ayala, Jr., Miguel Alberto Ayala, David Esteban Garcia, Daniel Angel Garcia; six great-grandchildren, Alexyah, Jaedrien, Eugene, Ariel, Alicia, Mia; five siblings, Reynaldo (Maryann) Contreras, Rogelio (Belia) Contreras, both of McAllen, Roel (Tomasa) Contreras, Viola (Benjamin) Hirsh, both of Alamo, Arcelia (Miguel) Avila of Donna.
“Good bye to all my friends from Crest Fruit Company and to all the rest of my friends and relatives”.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
