EDINBURG - Tereso Contreras, 74, died Monday, July 4, 2016, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Mr. Contreras was born in Edinburg and lived there all of his life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Daria J. Contreras.
Tereso is survived by eight children, Jesus (Paula) Contreras of Louisiana, Joe (Alma) Contreras of San Juan, Blanca (Lorenzo) Flores of Edinburg, Sylvia Garza of Donna, David (Juanita) Contreras, Maria Contreras, Rosalinda (Rodrigo) Gonzalez, Tereso Contreras, Jr., all of Edinburg; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, July 7, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
