DAVID “VILE” L. CORONADO JR.

EDINBURG — David “Vile” L. Coronado Jr. entered eternal rest on April 22, 2010. Born in Marlin, Texas, on September 4, 1948, David lived the great majority of his life in Edinburg. As a youth, David traveled around the state with his parents David and Margarita L. Coronado and his eleven brothers and sisters, as hard working farm workers. After losing his father at the age of fourteen, David worked alongside his brothers and sisters to provide for the family. David enjoyed traveling to West Texas and working in the cotton industry with his brothers, especially in the cottons gins in Floydada and Lubbock and the surrounding areas. On October 16, 1976 he married the love of his life Josefina Salinas in Edinburg and the pair worked equally hard together in creating a family, home, and a stronghold for the family. The couple gave life to two children Yesenia and Juan David and the three, Josefina, Yesenia, and Juan David became David’s treasures as everything else became obsolete in comparison to his family. David also dedicated twenty-five years to the Edinburg School District, where his actions far surpassed his responsibilities as he touched the lives of many co-workers and students. The fruits of David’s life not only have come in his lifetime, but will continue with him in eternity. David was a dedicated son, devoted husband, and caring father, but most importantly he was an amazing human being. David enjoyed life and work as he warmed many with witty responses as his dark humor impacted many. Even though it is a time of mourning, it is also a time to celebrate the life of a great man who gave so much to many. David is survived by his wife, Josefina S. Coronado; his daughter, Yesenia Coronado; son-in-law Leonel Pulido Jr.; his son Juan David Coronado; by his brothers, Jose, Juan and Refugio Coronado; and by his sisters Gilberta Rendon, Maria Reynero, Juana Perez, Cecilia Diaz, Rosa Arredondo, Lupe Moreno, Maria de Jesus Alegria. He is preceded in death by his parents David and Margarita Coronado and his brother Ramon Coronado. You will live in our hearts, minds, and souls forever. Journey well Pop. We love you Daddy. Te queremos mucho Papi.
