EDINBURG - Mary H. Coronado, 63, entered into eternal rest on October 25, 2016, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
Born in Del Rio, Mary lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jose Huerta, Jr. and brother, Robert Huerta.
Mary is survived by her husband of 37 years, Nabor Coronado, III; two children, Daniel (Amy) Coronado of Schertz, TX and David Coronado of Edinburg, TX; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Kinsey, whom she loved dearly and were the love of her life; her mother, Maria Huerta of Del Rio, TX; ten siblings, Terri (Martin) Reyes of San Angelo, TX, Janie (Tom) Samarripa of Odessa, TX, Hilda (Steve) Jewell of Wiesbaden, Germany, Carmen (Henry) Bautista of San Angelo, TX, Jose Huerta III, Pedro Huerta and Joe Luis Huerta all of Del Rio, TX, Adolfo (Theresa McCoy) Huerta of Columbus, OH, Rev. Gilberto (Kimberley) Huerta of Ocean Pines, MD and Leonardo (Debbie) Huerta of San Antonio, TX.
Mary was a teacher at Stephen F. Austin Elementary for over 37 years with the Edinburg School District. She was very active at the Holy Family Catholic Church and devoted her time serving the Lord. Mary will be remembered by those that knew and loved her for her giving, caring and compassionate ways.
A special thank you to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio for the special care that they gave to Mary while she was there.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, October 28, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. , Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
