Leonor Rojas Cortez

LEONOR ROJAS CORTEZ EDINBURG - Leonor Rojas Cortez, 83, died Friday, September 27, 2013, at Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Mission, Mrs. Cortez had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raul Cortez, Sr.; a sister, Rosa Rodriguez; three brothers, Juan Rojas, Jr., Teo Rojas, Rojelio Rojas. Leonor is survived by two sons, Esteban Cortez and Raul (Sylvia) Cortez, both of Edinburg; one grandchild, Roel Cortez of San Antonio, TX; three sisters, Guadalupe Rios of Pharr, Elvida Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX, Maria Rojas Guerra of Edinburg. Visitation will take place from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, September 30, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
