ROBERTO CORTEZ JR. PHARR — Roberto Cortez Jr., 33, died Sunday, September 29, 2013, in McAllen. Robert had lived in Pharr most of his life and was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his father, Roberto Cortez Sr. Roberto is survived by his mother, Yolanda B. Cortez of Pharr; common law wife, Yuri Aragon; three step-children, Emmanuel, Eliud and Charlene Sanchez all of Mission; three siblings, Antonio, Yvette, and Veronica Cortez all of Pharr; sister-in-law, Ana Laura Garcia; and five nieces and nephews, Brianna, Krysantha, Danielle, Antonio Jr., and Noel. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, October 2, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan
