SAN JUAN — Elodia G. Cruz, 66, died Thursday, May 10, 2012, at McAllen Medical Center. Born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Mrs. Cruz lived in San Juan most of her life. She is preceded in death by her father, Andres Garcia. Mrs. Cruz is survived by her husband, Clemente Cruz, of San Juan; 12 children, Antonio (Sandra) Cruz, of Pharr, Jose Guadalupe (Violeta) Cruz, of California, Hilaria (Keneth) Jones, of San Antonio, Texas, Silvestre (Monica) Cruz, of McAllen, Clemente Cruz, Jr., Amador Cruz, Esteban Cruz, all of San Juan, Maria Albesa Cruz, Micaela (Daniel) Salazar, both of McAllen, David (Christina) Cruz, of Baltimore, Maryland, Juan Cruz, of San Juan, and Nazaria (Oscar) Valdez, of McAllen; 32 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; mother, Isabel Diaz Del Garcia, of McAllen; four sisters; and five brothers. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, May 13, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Cremation will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
