ROMULO CRUZ EDINBURG - Romulo Cruz, 54, died Monday, September 23, 2013, at his residence in Edinburg. Born in Edinburg, he had lived there all of his life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Guadalupe Cruz and Maria Isabel Cantu. Mr. Cruz is survived by three siblings, Pedro (Elva) Cruz, Zenaida (Faustino) Gonzalez, both of Edinburg, Maria (Andres) Villa, of McAllen; 11 nieces and nephews; an aunt, San Juana Cruz; and an uncle, Epifanio Cantu, both of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, September 25, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
