MICHELLE RAYLYNN CURA SAN JUAN - Michelle Raylynn Cura, 15, died Sunday, May 13, 2012. Born in Edinburg, Michelle had lived in San Juan all of her life. She was a student at P-SJ-A High School and was a member of the JROTC. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Leonel Gutierrez Sr.; and an aunt, Sylvia Gutierrez. Michelle is survived by her mother, Belinda Gutierrez, of San Juan; her father, Michael Cura; stepmother, Norma Cura, both of McAllen; siblings, Olivia Cura, Mark Cura, Jamie Portillo, Bianca Cura, Mikey Cura Jr., all of San Juan, Mason Cura, of McAllen, Randy Cedillo, of Elsa; two step-brothers, David Garza, John Garza, both of McAllen; two step-sisters, Naidelyn Garza, Mirka Aguillon, both of McAllen; maternal grandmother, Mariana B. Gutierrez, of San Juan; paternal grandparents, Raul Cura, of McAllen, Frances Vera, of Edinburg; two uncles, Leonel (Judy) Gutierrez Jr., of Alamo, Charlie Cura, of Edinburg; three aunts, Yolanda Gutierrez, of San Juan, Aurora (Rolando) Ramirez, of Donna, Cindy Cura, of Edinburg; and numerous cousins. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, May 15, 2012 and from 1 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
