SAN ANTONIO/EDINBURG - Romelia Damian, 52, went home to our Lord Monday, January 18, 2021, at her residence in San Antonio.
Born in Lockney, TX, Mrs. Damian lived most of her life in the Rio Grande Valley but resided in San Antonio for the past 8 years. She dedicated her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Damian touched many lives with her loving spirit, out-going personality, and infectious laughter. She shared her faith in God with everyone she knew. She cared for her parents, whom she loved dearly, for the past 12 years.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Connie Lara; her grandparents, Manuel and Maria Arjona; and her in-laws, Gregorio and Dolores Damian.
Mrs. Damian is survived by her loving husband, Gregorio Damian; seven children, Claudia (Andres) Garcia, Gregorio (Jessica) Damian Jr., Juan Roberto (Gracie) Damian, Chris Damian, Germain (Lola) Damian, Ariana Damian, and Marco Damian; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her parents, Ramon and Maria Madrigal; and six siblings, Ramon (Delia) Madrigal Jr., Celia (Eduardo) Rodriguez, Melissa Gonzalez, Jose Luis Gonzalez, Julian Gonzalez, and Kristi Marie Gonzalez. She also had numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021, at Nueva Vida Baptist Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
