ANDREA C. DAVILA EDINBURG – Andrea C. Davila, 92, died Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance. Born in Pharr, she had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Davila Sr.; and her parents, Guadalupe and Nellie Cantu. Mrs. Davila is survived by five children, Carolina A. (†Diego) Ayala, Manuel J. (Celia) Davila Jr., both of Edinburg, David (Christina) Davila, of McAllen, Dora (Salvador) Jimenez, of San Juan, Robert Davila, of San Antonio; 15 grandchildren, Jaime J. Ayala, Audra Ayala, Nellie Ayala, Diego S. Ayala, Loreto Valdez, Deric Davila, Mark Davila, Manuel Davila III, Deborah Regalado, Dina Herrera, Laura J. Garza, Sal Jimenez III, David D. Jimenez, Dina L. Jimenez, Megan Mendiola; and 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, September 7, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Pallbearers will be Jaime J. Ayala, Diego S. Ayala, Sal Jimenez III, David D. Jimenez, Deric Davila and Mark Davila. The family would like to thank the staff of Retama Manor Nursing Center in Edinburg, the doctors at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance and Dr. Roman E. Tavarez, for the care given to their mother. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
