Arcario Davila Sr.

ARCADIO DAVILA, SR. EDINBURG - Arcadio Davila, Sr., 91, entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 14, 2014, at his residence in Edinburg. Born to Juan de Dios Davila and Guadalupe Alcala on La Jara Ranch near Hargill, Mr. Davila had lived in Edinburg most of his life. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a past member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Arcadio served as an Agricultural Supervisor for several import/export companies specializing in US-Mexico produce, and retired in 1995. He will be greatly missed by his family and those who loved him. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Manuela "Susie" Ruiz Davila. Arcadio is survived by two sons, Arcadio (Susan) Davila, Sr. of Lago Vista, TX and Eloy Davila of Donna; a daughter, Elia (Argelio) Jasso of Edinburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ramona Palomo of Houston, TX. A rosary was held Monday, December 15, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. today, December 16, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
