EDINBURG – Hewlett Francis de Freitas, 88, died Friday, December 2, 2016, at Edinburg Regional Medical.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Helena Victoria Brown de Freitas; his parents, Oliver Francis (Dalton) and Rachel (Ada) Lambert de Freitas.
Hewlett is survived by five children, Zellis Irisdeane deFreitas Adjibi, Winston Elloy Davidson de Freitas, Harold Anderson de Freitas, Franz Chalver de Freitas, Robert Walter William de Freitas; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Veda de Freitas, Eugenie (Lyn) deFreitas Stevens, Elba de Freitas and Jannet (Pam) de Freitas.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., January 5, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2017, at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
