JULIA DE LA FUENTE
PHARR- Julia De La Fuente, 98, went home to the Lord Monday, February 25, 2019, peacefully at her residence in Pharr.
Born in Mexico, she lived in Pharr most of her life. She was a devoted wife and mother, who always stand by her faith in God. Julia enjoyed reading, praying, and sewing. Ms. De La Fuente expressed her love to her family by cooking home meals, especially her four tortillas. Julia will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alberto De La Fuente; and a son, Jose De La Fuente.
Ms. De La Fuente is survived by six children, Teresita Rodríguez, Ana María (Luther) Reus, María Ofelia De La Fuente, Francisco (Alicia) De La Fuente, Alberto (Teresa) De La Fuente, San Juanita De La Fuente; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7p.m. rosary Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. February 28, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
