ARNOLD DE LA ROSA
ALAMO- Arnold De La Rosa, 48, went home to our Lord, Monday, February 27, 2017.
Born in Twin Falls, Idaho, Mr. De La Rosa had lived in Alamo, most of his life. He was a loving and caring father and friend, who enjoyed playing all sports and volunteering in the Boys and Girls Clubs coaching softball, basketball, and football. In his early years Arnold and his family would travel to work as migrant farm workers which left him many beautiful memories. Mr. De La Rosa took pride in his career of 31 years of truck driving. Arnold’s unique personality and charisma will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Arnold is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Esperanza and Ejipto Saenz; his paternal grandparents, Senovia and Lucio De La Rosa.
Mr. De La Rosa is survived by his common law wife, Melissa Corns of Mission; wife, Toni De La Rosa of McAllen; a son, Arnold De La Rosa, Jr. of Mission; two daughters, Abigail (Nathan Moncivais) De La Rosa of San Antonio, Shania De La Rosa of McAllen; two step-daughters, Meghan Riojas, Heather Riojas; two grandchildren, Reanne Riojas, Roxane Riojas; parents, Alberto De La Rosa, Consuelo Saenz De La Rosa, both of Alamo; godson, Jonathan Wolf De La Rosa; eight siblings, Aurora (Chris Perkins) Lopez of Oregon, Armando (Mirna Quintero) De La Rosa of Edinburg, Alberto (Rebecca) De La Rosa, Andy (Femelisa) De La Rosa, Angela Salinas, Juan (Luz) De La Rosa, Adrian (Teresa) De La Rosa, all of Alamo, Adam (Lizeth) De La Rosa of Maryland; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Saturday, March 4, 2017, and from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Entombment of cremated remains will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
