PHARR - Lydia S. De Leon, 75, died, Monday October 9, 2017, at McAllen Medical Center.
Mrs. De Leon was born in Hebbronville, TX and lived in Pharr most of her life.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Hermelinda De Leon; her parents Jose and Tereza Acevedo; four brothers, Jose Acevedo, Rene Acevedo, Randolfo Acevedo, Roberto Acevedo; and a sister, Juanita Perez.
Lydia is survived by her husband, Felix De Leon of Pharr; her daughter, Maria Tereza De Leon of Pharr; two granddaughters, Vyanca Dezerae Riojas and Trinity Alexxiz Riojas, both of Pharr; two siblings, Ramiro Acevedo of Alvarado, TX and Reynaldo Acevedo of Alanta, TX.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday October 11, 2017, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
